Welcome to my homepage!

I am a postdoc in the Institute for Computational Science at the University of Zurich working within the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research PlanetS. I have obtained my Doctor degree from the Heidelberg University, where I was working in the group of Kees Dullemond. I was also a member of the IMPRS for Astronomy & Cosmic Physics at the University of Heidelberg.

My work focuses on the planet formation issue. We know that planets are a common phenomenon - the Milky Way contains at least one planet for every star on average. However, we still cannot satisfactorily explain how do they form! I am using numerical models to explore scenarios that allow formation of planetesimals and planets out of the micron-sized dust grains present in disks surrounding young stars.
