Observing and Simulating Galaxy Evolution in the Era of JWST

Understanding how galaxies form and evolve is a major goal of contemporary astrophysical research. The goal of the conference in Ascona is to bring together astrophysicists with interest in galaxy evolution from a variety of backgrounds, including observations, data science, and/or cosmological simulations to encourage knowledge sharing and collaborative efforts. By taking place within the first few years of JWST’s mission, this conference will offer an early view of the impact of JWST on the field and it will provide a forum to discuss future research directions within the community.
