Who is Tobias Baldauf?
I was born in 1986 and grew up in Olbernhau, a little town in Saxony (Here it is).
After having finished my secondary education at Gymnasium Olbernhau in 2005 I started studying physics at the University of Dresden. After two years I received my intermediate diploma in 2007 and moved to Zurich, where I completed my MSc and PhD.
From 2013-2016, I was a postdoctoral member at the School of Natural Sciences at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton. Currently, I am a Stephen Hawking Advanced Fellow at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology and Department for Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. My field of research is the Large Scale Structure of the Universe. I am also a research fellow and graduate tutor at Clare Hall.
I am an ambitious photographer and some of the results may be found in the gallery as well as on Flickr: tobiasbaldauf and Instagram: @miriquidi0210.
